Promoting a Business and Connecting With an Audience

Traditional marketing efforts which used to be very intrusive, are no longer in fashion, and can even turn consumers off of many businesses these days. People go out of their way to avoid these types of promotional efforts and have learned how to try to ignore the ads that they come across, which is why companies have to figure out different ways and strategies to reach their audience and influence their purchasing decisions.

Video content

In the last few years, video content has skyrocketed in popularity for both customers and businesses, as it’s a great way for businesses to connect with each other in many different ways. That means if a company hasn’t started creating video content already, it’s time to join in on the trend because there are many different ways for companies to use video content in their promotional efforts, especially if they are promoting themselves across social media platforms. From short videos that can be shared on an Instagram Story, for example, to longer form videos for TikTok, and even live streams on Facebook or Instagram, companies can get the benefit of appearing a lot more authentically to the target audience, which simply is impossible to achieve through other formats for content. Additionally, companies also get the benefit of repurposing all of their video content into other formats, and even simply re-sharing the same videos across different platforms.

Images

Another great way for companies to grab the attention of the target audience is through images, which is a strategy that used to be true in the past and still is today. However, crafting high-quality images for social media needs to become a higher priority for companies that have started investing in social media promotion because they’re able to grab the attention of a lot of people at a moment’s notice. There’s no need for companies to invest a lot of time and money, and even effort into creating stunning graphics for their brands, because there are a number of digital tools that allow companies to create attention-grabbing visual assets to just photos and images that will align with the branding of the business, and attract the attention of the target audience.
Another option, especially for companies that are able to afford it is to outsource this type of content creation to professionals. There are a few essential graphics that every company needs to have when it comes to social media platforms including cover photos for the platforms that allow them, a logo that’s going to be used as a profile picture on every platform, graphics for Pinterest if the platform is relevant to the business, as well as infographics to educate the audience, instead of simply grabbing their attention. Finally, it’s important for companies to remember that the dimensions for all of these different graphics tend to change over time as social media platforms change, which is why it’s important for companies to do their research when they begin creating to find the right sizes for each platform.
